Go_A

Since the beginning go the full scale war in 2022 countless brave people of Ukraine rose up to defend their homes and freedom. Among them were not only professional soldiers, but also a lot of civilians, people of different backgrounds and professions. Teachers, musicians, artists, bakers, students, all of these people are heroes that felt compassion and responsibility to join forces on the frontline and protect our country.

Today we want to tell you a story of one hero. His name is Taras Kozub. He is a gifted musician and one of a kind master of musical instruments, especially traditional Ukrainian liras. With his hands of gold each of his handmade piece is a testament to his remarkable talent, hard work and a huge love and compassion to his craftsmanship and music. When the war broke out, Taras was one of the courageous volunteers to set aside his craft and defend his home on the battlefield. Unfortunately, the war is evil, cruel and unforgiving, and it took its toll on Taras. During the drones attack he got hit by the explosion and lost his arm, suffered from other severe injuries including a lung tear and significant blood loss. While he is happy and grateful to be alive, his life has forever altered, preventing him from continuing his most cherished craftsmanship.

We have known Taras for a while and after the Eurovision we finally got to visit his humble and cozy workshop. We were deeply moved by the magic he weaved into every instrument, how he puts his heart into each piece, every detail. When we learned about his tragedy it shattered us, and now we are determined to help Taras reclaim his passion that defined his life’s work and continue creating the unique pieces he used to and bring more enchanting traditional Ukrainian music to this world.

Our mission is to raise $100,000 to get Taras a new biomedical prosthetic arm. We need to equip Taras with a high quality device with the precision and dexterity crucial to resume his musical and craftsmanship paths, as well as secure his two-months rehabilitation, so he can regain the use of his arm. We believe that within our community there are countless caring and compassionate people who share our vision on making the world a better place. Together, let’s start by Taras and restore the symphony of music in his life. Join us in this crowdfunding campaign to give a hand to our hero!
